Your tasks

Your starting point as a teacher is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and value-based work according to the curriculum. The work is done both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.

As a teacher, you see the entire school day of the student as important, and you therefore collaborate with both guardians and colleagues regarding the student. As part of this, the school's and after-school care's activities collaborate to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You start from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.

You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection at both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit the students' learning, as well as your own and the development of the organization, you take advantage of the experiences and knowledge of various professions.

You will be responsible for teaching in grade 3 in all subjects.

Your workplace

At Ekkälleskolan, we actively work to create joy at work, and there is good cooperation among all staff. The school and after-school care have a close collaboration and work together to help and support students in reaching as far as possible both academically and socially, as well as creating curiosity for lifelong learning. We have about 55 employees, and at the school, there is a good sense of community where we work with clear goals and collegial learning. We also have a close collaboration between school and home, and we end the school year by inviting you to our annual Culture Festival.

Ekkälleskolan is located in Södra Ekkällan and is a school with about 330 students in grades F-6. We are a two-parallel school with a total of 14 classes. The school has five after-school departments with a total of about 200 enrolled students. The after-school care has a well-developed quality work with clear routines for planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching. We are a training school, which means that we accept students and have a close collaboration with Linköping University. Ekkälleskolan is located between the green nature reserve Tinnerö and the Garden Association. The proximity to these green areas and the city provides good commuting opportunities.

You who are applying

We are primarily looking for someone with a teaching license with the authority to teach in grades F-3 in all theoretical subjects. Secondly, we are looking for someone who has completed teacher education for grades F-3 in all theoretical subjects. Alternatively, you may be at the end of your education to become a teacher in grades F-3.

It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-driven school through practice or as an employee. It is an advantage if you have taught in grades F-3 for at least one school year.

In your role as a teacher in grades F-3, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish. This is so that you can organize and implement the work in accordance with the curriculum (Lgr22) so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher in grades F-3, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and allow them to be involved in shaping the teaching. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in the community that occur in your professional role.
