Hällestad School is a rural school just outside Finspång. The school has about 190 students in grades F-6. The school also has two after-school departments, one for younger and one for older students. Hällestad School is characterized by safety, knowledge, and joy. The staff at the school is highly engaged and collaborates closely to create the best possible conditions for students' safety and learning. The school's health team works actively and closely with students and educators.

Your future tasks

You will be part of the after-school team's working group. You will be responsible for planning an after-school department together with a colleague. You and your colleague will meet during shared planning time each week to organize the work with the group. In this role, you will also be responsible for teaching grades 1 and 2 in sports and health and for writing assessments in the subject. You will also have some resource time in grade 1 where you help and support students in the class. There is also an opportunity to join the school's safety team along with the school's staff and health team. The position includes some hours in morning care.

Who are you?

We are looking for a licensed primary school teacher in after-school care with a focus on sports. We would like you to have previous experience working with children with special needs, knowledge, and experience in low-arousal responses. It is important that you are well-versed in the school's curriculum and that you are a confident person whose approach aligns with the school's values. Since we work in teams, your ability to collaborate and be adaptable is important. We value that you are structured, engaged, and communicative, as we work in teams that require close cooperation with students' parents and teaching staff. You find working with students stimulating and have a positive view of students, which means you start from the belief that students can and want to learn. You build trusting relationships with students and parents. Personal suitability is of great importance.

The role also involves?

Leading and organizing your and your colleagues' work to create a pleasant and safe learning environment for students. You work effectively with digital tools as a lever for learning. You will also learn and develop together with others and see the value of collegial learning, viewing experience exchange as valuable for your own professional development.
