Lead Teacher in Linköping Municipality
Do you want to make a difference in children's everyday lives and contribute to a safe and inspiring environment? With us, you have the opportunity to help shape meaningful days, develop children's creativity and social skills, and create lasting joy. As a lead teacher, you can contribute to a better school!
Your Responsibilities
As a lead teacher in Linköping Municipality, you will have a permanent position as a teacher for grades F-6, as well as a fixed-term appointment as a lead teacher. Time for your role as a lead teacher will be allocated in dialogue with the responsible principal, but at least 10% of your working hours.
The role of the lead teacher in the school involves working to develop the operations to increase goal fulfillment and students' academic results by:
- Systematically working to develop teaching based on scientific foundations and proven experience.
- Keeping yourself updated on current research and advocating for its use in teaching.
- Guiding colleagues in conducting pedagogical conversations.
- Leading processes that develop collegial learning.
Your starting point as a teacher is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and value-based work based on the curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
As a teacher, you see the entire school day of the student as important, and therefore you collaborate with both guardians and colleagues regarding the student. As part of this, the school's and after-school care's operations also collaborate to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. To benefit the students' learning, your own, and the operations' learning, you take advantage of the experiences and knowledge of various professions. You start from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.
You will be part of a school development group with two other lead teachers, where you together lead important development processes and contribute to shaping the future of teaching. Teaching takes place at Nykil School, but you will work on the development for both schools.
Your Workplace
Nykil School is located in the heart of Nykil community and accommodates activities from preschool class to grade 6. About 25 employees work with us, and around 210 students attend here. Together, we contribute to a pleasant and family-like school environment. The school consists of several buildings and has a large schoolyard with its own school forest that inspires play, exploration, and outdoor pedagogy. We actively work for safety and study peace, and our goal is for every student to succeed and develop into a safe and independent individual who believes in themselves and sees opportunities.
Our after-school care offers children a place to develop their creativity, imagination, and social skills. We place great emphasis on soft values and are currently focusing particularly on empathy and how to be a good friend. By involving students and giving them influence in the operations, we create a safe and meaningful everyday life. The after-school care collaborates closely with the school to strengthen students' learning and well-being. The operations are divided into two departments: The Hawk, for students in preschool class to grade 1, and The Falcon, for students in grades 2-6.
Who You Are
It is a requirement that you have a teaching license with authorization to teach within the range for grades F-6. E.g., F-3, 4-6, or 1-7.
