Student Assistant at Region Östergötland

Region Östergötland operates three schools, which are gathered in a unit under the Regional Development Committee.

Vreta Education Center is located just outside Linköping, Himmelstalund Education Center is located in Norrköping, and Lunnevads Folk High School is situated between Vikingstad and Mantorp.

Himmelstalund Education Center offers the Nature Management Program with specializations in gardening and animal care. Additionally, the adapted upper secondary school's national programs in Forestry, Land and Animals, as well as Individual Programs, are offered. Within adult learning, there is upper secondary adult education in gardening and animal care. Vocational adult education and higher vocational education are offered in gardening.

Job Description

We are looking for a student assistant who will be part of the resource team in the upper secondary school and/or adapted upper secondary school. The tasks involve supporting one or more students in all activities during a school day: theoretical/practical lessons including outdoor activities and during breaks.

About You

You should be an educated resource or social pedagogue and have experience working as a student assistant at the upper secondary level. You should have completed training in low-arousal approach and be well acquainted with the school's governing documents. It is an advantage if you have experience in any of the nature management environments.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability for the above-described tasks. This means that you can lead and motivate young people in their work. You communicate calmly and clearly. It is of utmost importance that you have achieved personal maturity, that you are a secure and stable adult with self-insight. You have good collaboration skills, flexibility, and responsiveness. You possess great patience.
