Operations

The primary school/adapted primary school is part of the Education Administration. The operation includes 21 primary schools and adapted primary school, with a total of about 4500 students. Five of the primary schools are secondary schools while the others, with a few exceptions, include grades F-6. The operation also includes after-school care.

Fågelsta School is a nature-oriented school located south of Motala, strategically placed between Motala, Vadstena, and Skänninge. Here you will meet fantastic students in a safe and family-like environment.

We work in well-functioning teams: F–1, 2–3, and 4–6. The teaching is partly age-mixed, but in core subjects such as Swedish, mathematics, and English, the teaching mainly occurs in age-homogeneous groups. Subjects are distributed among teachers within the team, creating good conditions for collaboration and flexibility.

We are looking for an engaged teacher who wants to make a difference in both lower and middle school!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work closely with students and contribute to their development in two different learning environments:

• Lower school: You collaborate with a mentor in grade 1 and support students in mathematics and Swedish lessons. The focus is on providing early support and strengthening basic skills.
• Middle school: You will be part of a co-teaching system where you together create an inclusive learning environment and adapt teaching to the needs of the students.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing all students with the best possible conditions for success!

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal qualifications:

• We prefer that you are qualified to teach grades 1-6, but the most important thing for us is your ability to meet students where they are and create stimulating and inclusive learning environments.
• You have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Experience in educational activities is an advantage.

Personal qualifications:

• You are structured, organize and plan your work well, and complete what you start.
• Actively take initiative in social contexts, step forward, and easily create new relationships.
• Collaborate well with others and find unpretentious solutions with a focus on the common goal.
