We are looking for a music teacher for Grebo and Björsäter schools!

Your responsibilities

As a music teacher with us, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating music education for students in grades 1-6. You will work closely with colleagues and students to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment. You contribute to students developing their knowledge and skills in music. Your tasks include teaching students to actively listen to different types of music, differentiate between instruments, instrument groups, and develop musical skills in collaboration with others. As a music teacher, you also train students in theoretical knowledge that is applied in practical playing and reflection. An important part of the work as a music teacher is to teach students to reason about the function and significance of music in various historical and cultural contexts. The position includes collaboration with responsible class teachers, student health teams, and guardians to support each student in reaching their full potential based on their circumstances. Active participation in other meetings for collegial collaboration and playground supervision is also part of the role.

Who you are

We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher for grades 1-6. We prefer that you have previous experience working in primary education.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have the ability to create good relationships with others by being attentive, showing empathy, and respect. You should be able to motivate others and empower them by providing advice, support, and opportunities for development. We see that you adapt easily to changing circumstances. You also have a good understanding of individuals' different conditions and how people absorb knowledge.

About the employment

The position is a temporary role for the spring term with a scope of 60% and the possibility of a permanent position. Start date: January 7, 2026, or by agreement.
