Do you want to make a difference for students who are struggling in school?

With us, you work closely with students in a safe environment and contribute to Linköping's resource schools (NPS). Welcome to us!

Your responsibilities

Your starting point as a teacher is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and value-based work based on the curriculum. The work is sometimes done independently but often in close collaboration with colleagues. All teaching at the Resource Schools is done together with other teachers and resource educators, which means collaborating on lesson planning and serving as a resource during each other's classes.

As a teacher in grades 7-9, you collaborate with guardians, colleagues, and others present in the school to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You start from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.

You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection during both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit students' learning, as well as your own and the development of the organization, you draw on the experiences and knowledge of various professionals.

The position is located at Stångåskolan, a smaller resource school with about 12 students and 5 staff members. Here, you work in a close-knit staff group where you meet and collaborate continuously throughout the workday. It is a work environment characterized by close communication and shared responsibility for the students' development. If necessary, work may also occur at other resource schools (NPS).

This position involves teaching mathematics and science.

Your workplace

The resource schools consist of six primary schools for students in grades 1-9 with action plans who need extra support in their educational, social, and pedagogical development. Within the organization, we work with students who exhibit atypical behavior, mental health issues, and social problems (NPS). Through tailored support, students are given the opportunity to develop and have a functioning school experience in a safer, smaller, and more supportive environment.

The schools operate in smaller groups with high staff density, where there is also an opportunity to practice social interaction. Staff support guardians in their parenting and collaborate with various authorities and individuals in the student's/family's vicinity. At the different schools, educators meet students in their own facilities. Teaching is conducted based on each student's conditions and needs, where students are offered all subjects. Students are met by clear, safe, and stable adults. The working teams have mixed competencies with both teachers and resource educators. We work closely with the students and start from the needs that arise.

The resource schools are an inspiring organization where there are great opportunities to, together with colleagues, continue to develop the working methods of the Resource Schools to be at the forefront. We offer a job that is based on a student-centered approach, which means that we place great importance on creating teaching that is grounded in students' curiosity and conditions.

We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference for students who are struggling in school, enjoys working in a team close to colleagues, and likes to find creative solutions to challenges.
