In the student health services, several professional groups collaborate to provide support to students in school and to support their development, learning, and health. The central student support includes medical, psychological, and special educational competencies.

Do you want to work with us? The Language Unit is a central unit that organizes study guidance and mother tongue instruction throughout the Education Sector.

The Language Unit is also the unit that receives newly arrived students to the municipality, conducts assessments, and works on development projects to increase the integration of newly arrived students in school.

Your future tasks

This position is aimed at a student in primary school. Study guidance takes place before, during, or after the student's school hours. The study guide should act as a bridge between the mother tongue and the Swedish language to support students' development and learning in collaboration with other staff at the schools. You should be an adult role model and a reliable person that students and guardians can depend on. You will follow the student in the regular class, providing support where the regular teacher cannot reach. It is the regular teacher who plans and conducts the lesson while you support and teach in the mother tongue. You are flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances.

Who are you?

We are primarily looking for someone with documented good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, equivalent to SVA B. You take responsibility for your tasks and are accommodating in your approach. Since this position involves working in various contexts, you need to have good collaboration skills and the ability to create contacts. You have a good ability to work systematically, plan, and prioritize among your tasks. It is beneficial if you have experience working with students with special needs.

Previous experience is an advantage. We are mainly looking for someone who can work on-site.
