We are looking for youth leaders for the Aktiv Fritid initiative in Skäggetorp!

Östergötlands Stadsmission is now seeking two committed youth leaders for our Aktiv Fritid initiative for middle school children in Skäggetorpshallen.

The activity takes place every Thursday during the autumn and spring terms and is part of our work to create meaningful leisure opportunities for children and youth in the area. As a youth leader, you will receive:

• A meaningful assignment where you make a difference.
• Introduction and support from social pedagogues and unit managers.
• Opportunities to develop as a leader and gain experience in social work.

About the assignment

As a youth leader, you will help create a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for middle school children. Together with colleagues and the responsible social pedagogue, you will lead activities, build relationships, and be an important role model. The assignment takes place in Skäggetorpshallen on Thursdays from 4:20 PM to 6:00 PM and aims to offer a low-threshold activity and an active leisure engagement after school for middle school students in the area.

We are looking for someone who

• Is 16+ years old and wants to engage in the area.
• Is a role model and has a professional and attentive approach towards children and youth.
• Wants to contribute to a safe and meaningful leisure time for middle school children.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Worked as a youth worker during the summer in Skäggetorp through the initiative that the City Mission had in collaboration with Linköping Municipality and the Association of Property Owners in Skäggetorp, or at one of the property companies.
• Leadership training.
• Previous experience in leadership roles.
• Involvement in local initiatives or community organizations.

Other important information:

• A background check for work with children in activities other than school and childcare is required before employment.
• The assignment is hourly employment.
• Interviews will take place in January and February.
