Our Offer

The Forensic Psychiatry Department S100 is located in the Tinnerbäckshuset at the University Hospital in Linköping. The department has eight care places for class 3 patients. We are now looking for an engaged social worker for a temporary position as our current social worker is going on parental leave. The role also includes covering some time in our other general psychiatric departments.

Job Description

As a social worker, you will be part of a multidisciplinary treatment team consisting of doctors, nurses, caregivers, and occupational therapists. Your job includes coordinating the patient's care process, which involves being responsible for following up on interventions, preparing and participating in care planning with department staff, and other internal and external collaboration dialogues with, for example, municipalities. You will also assist patients with other issues such as socio-economic matters.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a social worker and preferably has experience from psychiatric work or other similar fields. You need to be able to work independently while being a clear team player. Good communication skills, confidence in dealing with authorities, and experience with documentation are important qualities for the role. As you will communicate with patients, relatives, and colleagues, it is essential that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

We are looking for someone who easily collaborates with others and has a good view of humanity with a diversity perspective. You are confident in yourself and have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work. It is important for you to act in accordance with decisions made, operational goals, policies, and guidelines. You are engaged in meetings, listen, and are receptive to the other party and adapt to the situation.
