JOB DESCRIPTION

As a probation officer, you will be responsible for conditionally released clients as well as clients sentenced to probation who are under supervision. The work within the probation service largely consists of investigative work, conducting risk and needs assessments, and establishing plans for enforcement. You will also lead treatment programs for probation clients.

Your duties also include conducting personal investigations and providing opinions to the court, suggesting appropriate sanctions.

The ISU group works with the enforcement of prison sentences through intensive supervision with electronic monitoring (electronic tag at home/community service). It also includes preparing for releases for those serving time in prison and investigating special release measures. You may also work on tasks belonging to other groups within the area of operations.
