Social Services

The Social Services are responsible for interventions, support, and services to individuals and families in the municipality. Our operations are primarily governed by the Social Services Act, the LSS Act, and the Health and Medical Services Act, and must implement interventions regulated by these laws. All operations are characterized by the individual being at the center to meet their needs. The mission involves a strong customer focus and service spirit.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Omsorg SoL unit is part of the Investigation, Support, and Permits operation. In Omsorg SoL, the need for assistance is assessed according to the Social Services Act, focusing on the elderly and people with disabilities. The unit is divided into teams linked to different processes and works from a holistic perspective with the individual's needs at the center (IBIC), as well as follow-up of these. The unit consists of 13 social workers who handle cases according to the Social Services Act, two transport service administrators, one placement coordinator, two fee administrators, and one elder curator. Please note that LSS and social psychiatry belong to another unit.

As a 1st social worker in Omsorg SoL, your main tasks are to lead and support the social workers in the group. You work closely with the unit manager and the 1st colleague for the group, and are part of the management team for Investigation, Support, and Permits. Collaboration and cooperation with internal and external parties to drive processes forward is a significant part of the job.

As a 1st social worker, you are responsible together with the 1st colleague for the unit's joint meetings and actively work for professional development at the individual and group level.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a degree in social work or another qualification that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have several years of experience working within public authority and it is advantageous if you have leadership experience within social services' authority work.

As a 1st social worker, it is important that you are attentive, communicative, and clear in order to support and lead the social workers in the best way.

As a leader, we want you to be confident and contribute with a positive attitude that inspires your colleagues. We also want you to be proactive in quality development and have the ability to motivate your colleagues when changes need to be implemented. You take active initiatives in social contexts, step forward, and find it easy to create new relationships.

You are stable and secure in yourself, handle stress constructively, and maintain a good mood under pressure and adversity. You are curious and open, which means you keep an eye on the world and trend-watch to stay updated in the field.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.
