Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a social worker focused on financial support, which means you will receive and process new applications for financial assistance according to the Social Services Act, as well as investigate resources and barriers to self-sufficiency. As a social worker in the Reception Unit, you will be the first contact for individuals with short and long-term needs for financial assistance.

Your tasks include motivational work and coaching (MI) in connection with the investigation work to develop the client's opportunities for self-sufficiency. It also includes coordinating internal and external contacts such as the Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, contacts within the administration, and other parts of Linköping Municipality, as well as other partners.

Your Workplace

The mission of the Integration and Labor Market Administration is to strengthen the opportunities for residents of Linköping who are in need of financial assistance to become self-sufficient and independent, as well as to contribute to the supply of skills to Linköping Municipality and the business community. The administration comprises about 300 employees. We work closely with residents, businesses, the non-profit sector, authorities, and other public actors.

The Department of Labor and Support consists of the units Reception, Integration, and Labor and Support 1-5. Within the Department of Labor and Support, case management of financial assistance is conducted in 5 units with different focuses: Reception, Integration, and Labor and Support 1-3. You will belong to the Reception Unit.

The workplace is located at Drottninggatan 45, and we work activity-based in open office landscapes. Working hours are during the day with the possibility of flexible hours.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or behavioral science with a focus on courses in psychology and sociology. If you have taken courses in social work, social law, or administrative law, it is considered an advantage. It is also advantageous if you have previous experience in social authority work or have worked with financial assistance. Previous experience with the operational system Lifecare is also considered an advantage as we currently use it. For the position, you must have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form as the work involves contact with authorities and documentation.
