Curator at Prolympia

Prolympia is Sweden's leading sports school at the primary school level, with operations from Gothenburg in the south to Umeå in the north. In August 2020, we moved to our new premises located in the area near SMHI, close to the sports hub Himmelstalund, and we are pleased to offer a state-of-the-art school!

About You

Working with children and young people is an important mission, and to provide our students with the best possible conditions for development, we are looking for the right individuals for our operations.

We are now seeking a curator with a good habit of meeting and creating safe relationships with young people. We see that you, as an applicant, are proactive and driven in ensuring students' well-being and safety. Collaboration with students, guardians, and school staff is an important part of your work, which requires you to be a good communicator both in writing and verbally. We want you to share our values and our fundamental view that sports as a tool creates conditions for good health and excellent academic results.

Job Responsibilities

As a curator, you will be responsible for the preventive work regarding children's well-being and their social development together with colleagues. You will be part of the school's student health team, where you contribute your expertise alongside the principal, special educator, school nurse, etc. You will create networks with authorities such as social services, other curators, and youth clinics. When a report to social services needs to be made, you will be the one preparing the documentation. You will support your colleagues in their preventive work to shape students into safe and social individuals.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or has other relevant education for the role. It is advantageous if you are a licensed health and medical care curator. We prefer that you have previously worked in similar roles with good experience with children and young people. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The position is a permanent employment at 100% with a start date of March 1 or by agreement. We apply a 6-month probationary period. For employment, a criminal record extract concerning work in schools and preschools is required. The extract must be no more than one year old.
