Job Opening: Employment Officer

The position is located at the Employment Unit within the Community Development and Services department. The Employment Unit in Bromölla works to create conditions for individuals to achieve self-sufficiency through work or studies. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an employment officer with us, you will work from a holistic perspective, supporting and motivating individuals on their path to work or studies. Together with an engaged team, you will implement employment initiatives both at the individual and group level, with the goal of creating sustainable and long-term solutions for each individual.

Your work includes conducting coaching conversations, leading job preparation activities, and collaborating with external actors to provide individuals with the best conditions to achieve their goals.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Conducting individual assessments and creating action plans with each individual.
  • Supporting individuals through coaching conversations to promote their development.
  • Leading lectures and group activities to prepare individuals for the job market.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with both public and private employers to create opportunities for internships, work training, and employment.
  • Collaborating with the Public Employment Service, the Social Insurance Agency, private actors, and municipal operations.
  • Being responsible for documentation and follow-up on the individual's development.
  • Contributing to the development of processes and routines within the unit to continuously improve our work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in supporting and coaching individuals on their path to studies or work. You have a university or college degree in fields such as behavioral science, public health, pedagogy, social work, or equivalent education deemed relevant by the employer.

Experience in employment issues, project work, and employment measures, as well as working with individuals who are far from the job market, is an advantage. Since documentation is an important part of the job, you need to have good computer skills and excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. A B driver's license is required. If you have also worked as an assessor and have experience in following up and assessing an individual's progress through OCN validation as a method and tool, we consider it a significant advantage.

As the work requires the ability to plan and be structured to achieve set goals, you need to have a high level of self-leadership and be able to initiate and carry out activities independently. You easily create and maintain relationships and communicate clearly and understandably with colleagues, participants, and employers. We are looking for someone who is outgoing and enjoys creating and developing contacts with employers to open opportunities for our participants to establish themselves in the job market. We place great importance on personal suitability, and your personal qualities will be decisive.

The Employment Unit is currently running an ESF project, and we need to expand with a project employment from 2026-02-01 to 2027-03-31.

Bromölla municipality in northeastern Skåne, at the border with Blekinge, has nearly 13,000 inhabitants. We have the advantages of a small municipality with proximity and short distances both geographically and between people. The municipality is surrounded by beautiful and varied nature with proximity to both lakes and the sea. Bromölla is close and surprisingly good.
