Job responsibilities

An exciting development work is underway at the labor market administration. To enable more residents of Helsingborg receiving financial assistance to participate in work-related activities, we are expanding our practical operations. In the concept of Progress Jobs, we offer our residents employment combined with education to help them move on to regular jobs or studies.

We are now looking for more supervisors who have practical skills and high social competence. Based on practical work (cleaning the city's green areas), you will introduce, follow up, and guide the resident. You provide support and enable the resident to manage the tasks and develop through the cleaning assignment.

In the section, you will also be part of a team with other professional competencies (coaches and teachers) and together you will highlight the residents' strengths and areas for development so that they can find pathways into the labor market. A crucial key to succeeding in our mission is that we believe in the residents' drive and abilities. The work is mainly performed outdoors, in all weather and seasons, and can sometimes be physically demanding. It is also a mobile job performed in various locations in the city, so you need to be able to move around by bike and car.

As a supervisor, your tasks include:

• planning the cleaning work for residents based on their individual needs and abilities
• guiding/instructing and coaching residents in the practical work
• participating in the practical work at the workplace

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• has a relevant post-secondary education, such as a social pedagogue or has other equivalent education or experience that the employer assesses to be comparable
• has at least 2 years of experience from social or educational work with adults, with a guiding and motivating role
• has experience and interest in working with people with social issues
• has experience and interest in practical-oriented tasks
• is accustomed to using digital systems
• can cycle
• has a driver's license for passenger cars and experience driving

You also need to:

• be pedagogical and patient
• have the ability to be clear and assertive
• have good collaboration skills and work well in a team
• be comfortable working digitally and learning new programs/systems
• be proactive, resourceful, and responsible
• enjoy working outdoors and in a changing environment
