Workplace Description

The Program Planning Unit is part of the Education Department at LTH's office and currently consists of 12 employees.

We who work here have many different points of contact and collaborations, both within the department and with other parts of LTH and Lund University. The Education Department also includes admissions, scheduling, and examinations. In the department, we have a close collaboration and strive to maintain a pleasant workplace where there is room to develop and enhance our work. Additionally, LTH's office has an active well-being group that organizes various activities and contributes to our positive work climate.

Job Responsibilities and Areas of Responsibility

The program coordinator is usually administratively responsible for coordinating one or more program management teams. Program management teams are responsible for the development and quality of our educational programs. As a program coordinator, you may be part of one or more program management teams.

The main tasks include:

• Preparation of cases
• Follow-up on the programs' work
• Educational offerings
• Handling of individual cases
• Contact with institutions on educational matters
• Contact with other programs and program coordinators as well as with management, other functions within the organization, and students
• Development of routines and administrative processes together with your colleagues.

In your role, you will have a particular responsibility for ensuring lawful handling and that the program management teams comply with the laws, regulations, and administrative rules that apply to the higher education sector and Lund University. Communication and solution focus are important parts of our daily work.

The work is complex and follows an annual cycle, which means that many seemingly distinct parts are interconnected, and how they are executed has significant implications for the whole. The work requires a good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize, and involves many contacts with both students and employees in various parts of the organization.

Other tasks within educational administration may also occur.

Qualifications

Requirements for the position are:

• Higher education or education and/or experience deemed equivalent
• Well-developed organizational and administrative skills
• Experience in similar tasks at a university/college
• Experience working with study administrative individual cases, e.g., credit transfer cases
• Good ability and experience working in various study administrative systems
• Good knowledge of the regulations applicable to the higher education sector
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English.

We are looking for someone who has a good ability to work independently with their tasks and has a good ability to collaborate and communicate with many people in different roles. You have a good ability to structure and prioritize tasks and can handle a work situation where many different tasks need to be solved concurrently in a dynamic environment, with periods of high tempo. We value your initiative and service orientation.

Desirable for the position is:

• Experience working with education in the technical field.

Consideration will be given to how the applicant is assessed to complement and strengthen the administrative work within the unit and contribute to its future development through their experience and competence.
