HR Specialist for Area 2 at Sahlgrenska University Hospital
Together, we are developing Sahlgrenska University Hospital for a sustainable future. We are transforming healthcare with the goal of becoming Europe’s leading university hospital by 2032. Together with our patients, we work for quality, accessibility, patient safety, research, education, and innovation – within an integrated healthcare system in the Västra Götaland region. Our vision and goals aim for care of the highest quality, where the patient is always in focus. We provide healthcare locally and regionally, as well as highly specialized care to patients across the country and abroad. Our employees are our strength and contribute to knowledge exchange nationally and internationally. With digital tools and new working methods, we can simplify daily life at the hospital and offer modern, accessible, and effective care of the highest quality.
Do you want to be part of a large HR organization in the public sector where you have the opportunity to make an impact?
Description
The operations of Sahlgrenska University Hospital are organized into eight areas. Area 2 includes all adult psychiatric care. We have about 2000 employees in both inpatient and outpatient care. Area 2 is led by an area manager, and the staff includes functions for HR, finance, and development. The staff is located at Östra Hospital, in nice facilities with a view over Gothenburg.
Healthcare is facing significant challenges, and to continue providing residents with accessible, safe, and quality-assured care in the future, new solutions and working methods are required. The HR department in Area 2 is an active partner in addressing the challenges that the entire healthcare system faces. Our focus is to provide qualified HR support to the managers of the operations and thus help our area meet the operational goals.
Responsibilities
We are looking for an HR specialist who wants to work closely with an operational area while also supporting other HR specialists in labor law matters. The role involves handling cases related to misconduct and rehabilitation, as well as providing qualified advice in these areas. You will also have specific responsibility for scheduling and working time issues, which requires experience and good knowledge in these areas. At the same time, you will act as a close partner to the managers of the operations and contribute both operationally and strategically. You will be an integral part of the management team and work broadly with issues such as labor law, work environment and health, change management, collaboration/MBL, rehabilitation, competency supply, and wage formation.
As an HR specialist with us, you will have a broad and varied role where you work both operationally and strategically. You will be an important part of a wonderful team of HR specialists working to create conditions for a sustainable work environment and contribute to the development of the operations.
Qualifications
You have an academic education focused on HR or another education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience from public operations is a requirement. To thrive here, you need to be confident in independently handling complex personnel matters, driving change initiatives from start to finish, and have experience in working time issues.
We highly value personal qualities. Your strength lies in independently planning, driving, and completing projects, but also in actively contributing to common goals. You serve as a role model through your professional approach, communication, and teamwork. Personal integrity and the ability to act in line with the hospital's values are a given for you.
As a person, you are analytical, development-oriented, adaptable, and flexible. You find it easy to collaborate, build trusting relationships, and thrive in an environment that sets high demands – but also offers great opportunities to make an impact.
Work in Area 2 can be described as fun, challenging, complex, and dynamic. Here, you will have a qualified and meaningful job in an engaged HR department and an organization beyond the ordinary. At the same time, you are a team player who enjoys sharing knowledge, collaborating, and building strong relationships – both within the HR team and with the managers and leadership groups of the operations.
Warm welcome with your application! Interviews are planned from week 2-3 onwards.
