About the role
The role of Financial Controller is new within the company, and you will play a central role in our establishment and development of financial reporting and management of our solar parks. In practice, this means that you will manage the entire economic cycle, such as project accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis. You will work very closely with the company's Country Manager. The role is based in the office in central Gothenburg.

Main responsibilities

  • Responsible for financial planning & follow-up, such as cash flow forecasts, budget and forecasting work, developing relevant key figures, and supporting management with advice on profitability, financing, and liquidity needs.
  • Conduct ongoing cost allocation and follow-up for each project and project phase (development, construction, operation).
  • Ensure that correct monthly and annual reports are prepared according to Swedish accounting standards.
  • Manage banking relationships, liquidity planning, and compliance with Swedish tax regulations (VAT, employer contributions, corporate taxes).
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, technical teams, and legal advisors to ensure correct financial control of each project.
  • Act as an advisor on issues related to financing, taxes, and management of project companies within Novar Sweden, as well as collaborate with Novar International and other relevant parties as needed.

We are looking for someone who
Is business-oriented, driven, and responsible, and enjoys setting routines and processes in place. You have the ability to initiate and complete various types of projects and activities required for the financial management of the projects.

You will have many international contacts, so great importance is placed on your communication skills and your proficiency in English, as you will be Novar Sweden's contact person with the headquarters for ongoing financial reporting. Likewise, you should be someone who enjoys working in a team, as there is a lot of collaboration with other parts of the organization, both locally and globally.

You have a university degree in finance and at least 5 years of experience in qualified work within accounting, project accounting, and financial follow-up. You have an understanding of the K3/IFRS framework and consolidated financial statements and have the ability to connect finance with operations. We also see it as very valuable if you have a background from companies in project development, such as real estate, wind power, or the energy industry.
