Medical Secretary at BUP Sollentuna
Do you want to be part of an organization that makes a difference for children and adolescents? BUP Sollentuna is now looking for a medical secretary to join our well-functioning and friendly administrative team!
BUP Sollentuna is a specialized unit where children and adolescents aged 0–17 with moderate to severe psychiatric issues are assessed, investigated, and treated.
At the clinic, psychologists, social workers, doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, medical secretaries, and administrators work together. We collaborate for the best interest of our patients and to create a pleasant and positive workplace. We actively work to improve our methods and currently have ongoing efforts focused on enhancing the work environment and clarifying our administrative processes. Your administrative skills play a crucial role in our operations, and you will significantly contribute to our goals alongside other staff members.
Responsibilities
As a medical secretary with us, your main responsibilities will include:
- Medical documentation in Take Care
- Administrative healthcare work
- Referral management, scheduling for treating staff
- Phone management in TeleQ
- Other tasks as needed by the organization, such as invoicing, orders, etc.
You will also contribute your expertise as a medical secretary to improvement efforts within the unit. Additional tasks may be assigned.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a degree in medical secretarial training. To succeed in this role, you need to have strong knowledge of the Swedish language as well as medical and psychiatric terminology, along with a good ability to handle English in both speech and writing. You should also have good knowledge of the Take Care journal system.
Experience as a medical secretary in child and adolescent psychiatric care is highly meritorious.

About Us
BUP Sollentuna is part of BUP Stockholm. BUP Stockholm offers specialized psychiatric care for children and adolescents aged 0 to 17 within the Stockholm Region. We are part of the Stockholm County Healthcare Area (SLSO), which is a healthcare provider within the Stockholm Region. Together, we are about 1,000 employees who meet over 22,000 children, adolescents, and their families each year. The position will be filled provided that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
For patient-related work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area:
- Background checks will be applied before hiring decisions according to current guidelines.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which will be conducted by occupational health services before employment.
- In addition to Swedish professional certification, strong knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
