Work with issues that concern all citizens
Do you want to work with issues that concern all citizens? Are you interested in procurement and competition? Do you want to develop in a stimulating and pleasant work environment and work with varied and complex issues? Then the Swedish Competition Authority is something for you.
About the Tips and Monitoring Unit
The Tips and Monitoring Unit receives, processes, and ensures the quality of tips, complaints, whistleblowing, and general inquiries that come to the Swedish Competition Authority in the areas of competition, procurement, and other matters that fall within the agency's mandate.
This can include serious violations of legislation such as cartels or unauthorized direct procurements. The unit also works proactively to identify violations, among other things, through monitoring and information gathering using open sources.
Your Responsibilities
You will work with receiving and processing tips and complaints that come in, and make an initial assessment and investigation. You will primarily handle competition law and procurement law issues, but there may also be other types of inquiries that come to us or are initiated internally. We handle cases in all types of industries, making the work varied and developmental.
As the unit is the channel into the agency, we handle many varied inquiries, and our work has a high tempo. The work gives you a unique insight into current issues within competition, procurement, and other related matters. You will have external contacts, conduct qualified legal investigations, and participate in projects aimed at promoting effective competition and procurement.
Qualifications
To be suitable for the position, we want you to have recently obtained a law degree or be in the final stages of your law studies.
You have an interest in competition law or procurement law, and you also have a very good ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish.
You possess good analytical skills, are self-driven, proactive, determined, and structured.
The work involves contacts both internally and externally, and we therefore want you to have social skills such as being able to communicate clearly and pedagogically. We place great importance on your personal qualities in this recruitment process.
It is meritorious if you have taken specialized courses in competition law or public procurement during your studies or have otherwise deepened your knowledge in any of these areas.
