Political Staff, Ministry of Employment

Do you want to work as an executive assistant in a political environment for representatives of the Swedish government and have extensive internal and external contacts? Can you meet high demands for proactivity, accuracy, flexibility, and efficiency? As our new employee, you will have a varied everyday life at the center of events.

As an assistant to our political leadership, you are a central part of the team around ministers/secretaries of state. You will work with qualified support to one of our secretaries of state. Your tasks will consist of various administrative issues such as meeting logistics, meeting and conference bookings, electronic calendar management, and handling invitations and requests. Before activities and meetings, both physical and digital, you will plan and administer. The work involves many contacts, both internal and external, and there are both national and international contacts in your daily work.

Furthermore, you will handle travel administration and other administration such as telephone service, invoice management, and incoming mail. You will work in SharePoint, Heroma, and Proceedo. Coordinating tasks may also be relevant. The role also includes providing support to others in the political staff, and you will be part of a group of assistants who work together with the political leadership and support each other as needed.

Your background.

To take on this role, you need to have completed high school education and several years of experience providing qualified administrative support to senior management in the public sector. You express yourself very well in both spoken and written Swedish and English and have good knowledge and interest in working with digital tools and the Office suite as well as managing digital meeting programs. You need to have knowledge of SharePoint, Heroma, and/or Proceedo, as well as knowledge of archiving and case management within public administration. You are accustomed to handling confidential information and have a high level of security awareness.

Your qualities.

In your role as an assistant, you are used to working proactively, taking your own initiatives, and contributing to solving various questions and problems of varying nature. Your ability to organize and prioritize is strong. You enjoy providing service, have good judgment, are meticulous, and ensure the quality of your work. It is important that you handle confidential information with high integrity. As an employee in the Government Offices, you are flexible, which means you can quickly adapt to new situations, compromise, handle changes, and new challenges with agility. You find it easy to collaborate and contribute to the smooth operation of the assistant group and the political staff's work. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

Special fixed-term employment with start as soon as possible and until further notice, but no later than June 30, 2025. The position is classified in a security class, and a security review with a background check will be conducted before a hiring decision is made. You must be a Swedish citizen but may have a foreign background.
