External Production is the link between BAE Systems Hägglunds and our partners in respective customer countries to deliver complete vehicles.

Your Future Challenge

The department is responsible for evaluating, preparing, supporting, following up, and developing external manufacturing in collaboration with our suppliers/partners. You will report to the head of the department, Linda Strandberg. The work is carried out in close collaboration with our partners and suppliers in various countries.

The External Production department currently has 27 skilled colleagues, of which 7 are systems engineers.

The role of a systems engineer involves many contact points both externally with our partners and suppliers as well as internally across various areas of expertise within both production and design.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct knowledge transfer to partners on-site in the customer country.
• Be the link between our partners and other sections of the company.
• Support our partners in all technical and production-related questions.
• Create training materials for partners based on evaluation results.
• Support internal production with technical assistance and complex troubleshooting of vehicle systems.
• Perform complex troubleshooting together with partners on our vehicle systems.
• Testing and commissioning of vehicles.
• Trials, attempts, and demonstrations of future vehicles.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone with a high technical knowledge of electronics and data, preferably at the university level. Knowledge of vehicle systems is an advantage, and we expect you to have a strong personal interest in technology. An interest in computers, networks, and software is also a plus.

As a person, you have good initiative and collaboration skills, and you are good at planning time and activities. You enjoy working in a team but can also work independently. Since the position involves many contact points, we want you to be communicative. The role may require you to be on-site with our partners in the customer country, which is why business travel is included in the job.

As we work in an international environment, you need to have good knowledge of both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
