Production Engineer at Sanmina in Örnsköldsvik

Do you want to be part of developing the future of manufacturing in a high-tech environment? At Sanmina in Örnsköldsvik, you as a production engineer will play a key role in driving improvement work, optimizing flows, and further developing processes in a global, technologically advanced organization. Here you can combine your technical expertise with practical Lean experience and contribute to creating products that truly make a difference!

About the position

As a production engineer at Sanmina, you will be a central part of the factory in Örnsköldsvik, where you will work with both operational and strategic issues related to production and process development. You will be part of a team of five people who together are responsible for driving production engineering issues and improvement initiatives.

You will work closely with colleagues in production, maintenance, systems, design, material flows, and project management, becoming an important link between technology and manufacturing. The role involves a great variety of tasks, with the opportunity to plan and manage your daily work yourself.

This is a role for you who enjoys seeing the big picture, understanding flows, and finding solutions that improve productivity, quality, and the work environment.

Your main responsibilities

  • Work with production optimization, automation, and flow improvements
  • Drive improvement and efficiency projects in collaboration with production teams
  • Implement and further develop Lean methods in daily work
  • Conduct layout changes, risk analyses, and process follow-ups
  • Participate in planning meetings and develop solutions to production challenges
  • Work with quotation materials, production volumes, and cost calculations
  • Ensure good order, structure, and flow in the production environment
  • Be involved in the development of new manufacturing methods and equipment

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a technical education at the university or YH level, or high school education combined with relevant experience. We also see that you have:

  • Several years of experience working in production or industry where you have worked with improvement projects
  • Practical experience working with Lean
  • The ability to create and understand layouts in 3D
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Experience from the medical technology industry or other manufacturing with high-quality requirements is a merit.

As a person, you are analytical, curious, and structured. You thrive in collaborations but also find it easy to work independently and drive projects from idea to implementation. You are practically oriented, enjoy solving problems, and have a natural interest in technology and processes. You appreciate order and tidiness, are service-oriented, and have the patience to drive change in a systematic way.
