The County Orthopedic Unit conducts both planned and emergency activities, focused on orthopedic injuries and diseases. The County Orthopedic Unit includes the Orthopedic Technology Department, which operates at the hospitals in Sundsvall and Örnsköldsvik together. The County Unit works with a common value base that serves as a guiding principle. With us, orthopedic engineers, orthopedic technicians, physiotherapists, orthopedic technicians, and administrators work closely together. We work broadly with all types of orthopedic aids and are involved in teamwork within habilitation, diabetes, scoliosis, prosthetics, and foot teams.

We are now looking for a licensed orthopedic engineer for our orthopedic technology unit in Sundsvall! You will work closely with both orthopedic engineers and orthopedic technicians, where collaboration is an important part of daily work. Your introduction, training, and tasks will be tailored based on your knowledge and previous experience.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date according to agreement.

The role involves contributing to meeting the entire county's need for orthopedic care. You will be involved in the development of CAD technology and work with individualized solutions based on your knowledge and previous experience. We would like you to have an interest in pediatric aids, shoes, and insoles.

Your tasks will include:

• Testing, adjusting, and delivering urgent orthotic solutions
• Analysis, casting, manufacturing, testing, and delivering customized products
• Scanning of footbeds, fitting of shoes

The role includes a county-wide assignment which may involve travel to the orthopedic technology unit in Örnsköldsvik.

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed orthopedic engineer
• Has good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form

It is an advantage if you

• Have experience with scanning and CAD technology
• Have a B driver's license
