Do you want to make a real difference? WSP Environment is looking for an environmental technician in Sundsvall where you can combine practical fieldwork with analysis and environmental assessments. The role is a mix of challenging assignments in the field and office-related work – perfect for you who want variety in your daily work.

Your Responsibilities

• Sampling of soil and groundwater in the field
• Perform geotechnical measurements before, during, and after construction or land work
• Document, analyze, and evaluate results from laboratories
• Assess environmental and health risks and provide recommendations for actions
• Collaborate with geotechnicians, drilling rig operators, and excavators
• Plan and divide fieldwork with colleagues
• Write field reports and result reports

Requirements for the Position

• Education in environmental science, geology, or natural sciences (e.g., environmental and health protection, geology, etc.)
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Driver's license B

Meritorious

• Master's degree in a relevant field
• Experience in report writing and documentation
• Knowledge in GIS and measurement equipment for geotechnical investigations
• Previous experience in fieldwork or environmental projects

You are a practical and handy person who is not afraid to get your hands dirty in the field. You are driven and genuinely interested in the environment and geotechnics, with an analytical ability that allows you to interpret results from sampling and make well-founded assessments. While you can work independently, you are a team player who collaborates well with colleagues and contractors, and you have the confidence to make decisions in varying work environments.
