IOR Administrator at the Defense Staff's Implementation Unit
Do you want the opportunity to contribute to the development of the Swedish Armed Forces organization? Then you should apply for the position of IOR Administrator at the Defense Staff's Implementation Unit's Organizational Section.
About the Section
The section is responsible for coordinating the development and management of the Armed Forces' wartime organization (KRO) and basic organization (GRO) as well as coordinating the authority's governance regarding wartime placement work. The section is located at the Defense Staff in Stockholm. The Organizational Section is responsible for ensuring that the Armed Forces' organization reflects current decisions and that correct information and master data about the organization exists in all support systems of the Armed Forces. The Operational Organization Register (IOR) is used to prepare and establish positions and materials, readiness, etc. IOR is the basis for all wartime placement work in the Armed Forces and at the National Service and Assessment Agency.
Main Responsibilities
The work involves you, together with three other colleagues, being responsible for the overall work with IOR FM. This means entering and verifying organizational data about the Armed Forces' combat units, partly verifying the work done at various workplaces in the Armed Forces, as well as assisting in the formulation of orders and directives for this activity. Some tasks may be carried out at various workplaces in the Armed Forces. As an IOR Administrator at the Organizational Section, you will:
- continuously keep the IOR database up to date
- participate in ensuring that organizational data is coordinated between the Armed Forces' support systems
- process cases in IOR, usually with primary responsibility for a number of combat units
- assist in training in IOR
- eventually participate in development work during the revision of data systems and work processes
- to varying degrees participate in other projects and work at the section and department
The Armed Forces is an authority in growth and change, which may mean that the tasks will develop over time.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way
- good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in Swedish
- good administrative skills
- good computer skills and good knowledge of the Office suite; especially Excel.
Personal Qualities
You are meticulous and unpretentious, which also means that you are a team player with good collaboration skills. You should be able to handle uncertainties, changes, and high workloads during periods. You should have the ability to prioritize among tasks and be able to manage both routine work and situations that require quick deliveries. You are independent, positive, and have a humble attitude towards colleagues and tasks. In the selection process, great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities, suitability, and achieved results in previous areas of activity.
MERITORIOUS
Relevant previous experience from work in the Armed Forces, e.g.
- training and experience from work in IOR FM or PRIO
- experience working with wartime position codes and position type codes
- knowledge of the Armed Forces' combat units and unit development work
- good knowledge of the Armed Forces' organization and operations

Employment type: Permanent. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed.

At the Headquarters, there is the Chief of Defense and the Director General. The Headquarters has approximately 1,000 employees – both professional officers and civilian experts. As of 2023-01-01, the Headquarters consists of the Defense Staff, Operations Management, Military Intelligence and Security Service, as well as the Headquarters' Staff Department and independent supervisory units.
An employment with us means placement in a security class. Usually, Swedish citizenship is required. A security review with a background check will be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment also includes an obligation to be placed in wartime. The implications of this vary depending on the type of position.
