Do you want to help drive the transition to a fossil-free society while contributing to a safe working environment for both colleagues and the community? We are now looking for an engaged and knowledgeable Project Health & Safety Manager for an exciting EPCM project at their facilities in Uppsala.
As a Project Health & Safety Manager, you will be a central player in the project's success. You will be responsible for leading and coordinating health and safety work and act as a strategic partner to project managers, construction managers, and the H&S organization within the company. Your goal is clear – to ensure a working environment where no one is harmed and where the project is conducted without negative impact on people or operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing project-specific H&S plans and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Providing support, training, and guidance on H&S to the project and construction organization.
- Ensuring that contractors and subcontractors meet the client's health and safety requirements.
- Leading and supporting incident management, investigation, and reporting.
- Being a present leader in the field, building relationships and creating trust through visible engagement and clear communication.
Travel for this role is mainly limited to the office and project sites in Uppsala, but meetings may occasionally require additional travel.
To be successful in this role, you need
- Relevant education, such as H&S certification and/or a degree in occupational health, safety, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a leadership role within construction or infrastructure-related health and safety.
- Experience in leading and developing both H&S personnel and contractors.
- Knowledge of Swedish occupational health regulations and applicable legislation.
- Documented experience in conducting training and promoting safety culture.
- Good IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
