About the Role

To comply with security protection legislation, the Security Vetting Unit is responsible for the security vetting process together with Vattenfall's security organization. The team is operationally responsible for conducting medical checks, register checks, background checks, and security vetting interviews prior to hiring, ensuring that the right people are brought into security-sensitive operations at Vattenfall.

The team currently consists of 13 employees, including security vetting specialists and a manager. We are now continuing to develop the business and need to strengthen our team with an additional Security Vetting Specialist based in Solna.

About the Role

As a Security Vetting Specialist within the Security Vetting Unit at Vattenfall, you contribute to the opportunity to create a fossil-free life by ensuring that the right people are brought into Vattenfall's security-classified services.

You will primarily work with background checks, security vetting interviews, and documentation related to the security vetting process. The work aims to clarify the candidate's reliability, loyalty, and potential vulnerabilities. Additionally, you will also work with our administrative processes, such as handling security vetting and further developing work methods based on legal requirements and company policy.

The position involves collaboration with Vattenfall's recruitment organization, hiring managers, and not least Vattenfall's other security organization. You will also have contact with our candidates and work actively and preventively to contribute to a good candidate experience through professional and inclusive work.

Requirements

You have a genuine interest in talking to people and assessing candidates' suitability, and you have a well-developed ability to work with documentation of collected data. Working with a clear structure and having a high security awareness are important qualities for this position. As a person, you have good judgment, are open-minded, and have control over your prejudices. You enjoy being part of a team, even if you often perform your tasks independently. You take clear ownership of your area of responsibility and drive your work forward independently. You actively work to create and maintain good relationships within and outside the organization.

In addition to the above qualifications, you have:

• Experience in regularly meeting people in interview-like situations is a requirement.
• A degree in security, behavioral, or human resources science, or relevant work experience that Vattenfall deems suitable for the position.
• Good knowledge of the Office suite and the ability to use system support.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
• Driver's license (B)
• Work experience in personnel security, intelligence, or security protection is an advantage.
• Professional experience in other authorities such as the Armed Forces, Police Authority, or Social Services is an advantage.
