The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest authority with approximately 40,000 employees across the country, and we are now looking for someone to work with information security in the organizational unit for operational and security protection.
The Security Department is a national department within the Swedish Police Authority, led by the head of department who is also the authority's security and protection chief. The department is responsible for the Police Authority's information security, personnel security, physical security, procurement security, and employee protection. The organizational unit for operational and security protection is tasked with leading processes in these areas and developing normative tools such as guidelines and routines.

Job Description
As a security protection specialist, you will be part of a team of specialists working strategically to develop the Police Authority's systematic security protection work. You will also work independently and have the opportunity to shape the setup of your tasks. You will also contribute to the unit's and department's goals within the security protection work.
Your tasks include, among other things:
- Developing, implementing, updating, and managing guidelines, routines, and methodological support within the security protection area
- Advising and training in the area of security protection
- Participating as a specialist in internal and external forums
- Responding to referrals and opinions
- Preparing cases for the unit's strategic management group
Qualifications
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- An academic degree that the employer considers relevant for the position or equivalent knowledge in information security acquired through work experience deemed equivalent by the employer
- Experience working with security protection issues that the employer considers relevant
- Experience in developing governing documents, routines, or similar within the security protection area
- Experience in an advisory or auditing role that the employer considers relevant
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
- Swedish citizenship
It is meritorious if you also have:
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in English
- Experience working in security-sensitive operations
- Experience in establishing or managing a management system for information security
- Experience working with security requirements for information systems that the employer considers relevant
- Experience working in government or public operations
- Experience leading change and development work
- Knowledge of IT security
- Knowledge of security protection analysis work
Personal Qualities
You need to be proactive, self-driven, and structured, as well as have good collaboration skills and contribute to a work culture characterized by trust and engagement. Since the work requires good cooperation, even with employees located in other geographical locations, it is important that you possess the ability to create and maintain good relationships. You should be able to work towards long-term goals, be flexible, and able to switch between planned and event-driven activities.
