Security Officer at the Economic Crime Authority

The Economic Crime Authority prevents, detects, interrupts, investigates, and prosecutes economic crimes. Our 800 employees have various competencies and professional roles, such as prosecutors, police officers, economic crime investigators, administrators, and other specialists, all working together against economic crime. Workplace

At the Economic Crime Authority's headquarters, the Security Unit is responsible for the agency's security work. This includes security protection, i.e., personnel security, information security, and physical security, employee protection, signal protection, continuity and crisis preparedness work, as well as total defense work, which also falls within the unit's mission. IT security and cybersecurity issues are handled in close collaboration with the agency's IT unit.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of Security Officer, your primary task will be to:

  • provide advice and support to managers and employees on security issues
  • Work operationally and strategically within the areas of employee protection and physical security
  • conduct some training in the security field
  • manage incidents

This is a broad role where you, in close collaboration with your colleagues in the Security Unit and with the operations, will handle security issues across all parts of the security area, with a specific focus on employee protection and physical security. Travel within Sweden is included in the job, and it may also be relevant to participate in the unit's 24/7 readiness, about one week every other month.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • post-secondary education in the security field, or equivalent knowledge or experience deemed relevant by the employer
  • at least three years of current experience in security work
  • experience working strategically and with governance and management in the areas of employee protection and/or physical security
  • good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
  • broad experience in security work in the public sector
  • experience in teamwork
  • experience in training within any security area
  • Knowledge of the Economic Crime Authority's mission

In your role, you will have significant individual responsibility for your tasks while also working collaboratively with your colleagues in a team within the Security Unit. In the assignment, you will also work outwardly towards the operations. You are confident in yourself and have a high level of integrity that you can balance against your understanding of the operational needs and conditions.

You can independently plan, execute, and complete your work. You work in a structured manner and prioritize and delineate your work based on the assignment. In the role, you will handle various types of issues and have many points of contact, so it is of great importance that you have a good ability to communicate with others and can handle people under pressure or in vulnerable situations effectively. This position requires a high level of confidentiality awareness.

Information about Employment

Employment type: Permanent position with a six-month probationary period
Work location: Stockholm, travel and readiness may occur.
