Safety Advisor for Transport of Hazardous Goods
As a safety advisor for the transport of hazardous goods in the Swedish Armed Forces, you play a crucial role in a successful team within a rapidly growing authority. About the Department
As a safety advisor for the transport of hazardous goods, you will belong to the Chief Support Department (G0). The department covers areas such as environment, occupational safety, operational safety, infrastructure, quality, local services, archive and expedition services, and pastoral care. The department's mission includes supporting managers at all levels, such as regiment leadership, combat units, and other units at the garrison. G0 supports ensuring compliance with applicable laws and other requirements within the Life Guards. This is done through guidance, training, and follow-up.
About the Position
The Life Guards are seeking a safety advisor for the transport of hazardous goods (SRFG) with the overall task of supporting management in its responsibility to ensure that the transport of hazardous goods is conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. This applies both to the Life Guards with its subordinate units and to other parts within the garrison.
Main Responsibilities
Your tasks will include analyzing the different roles individual units have in the transport of hazardous goods and identifying the training needs within the organizational unit. You will develop local instructions and regulations related to the transport of hazardous goods at the garrison and organizational unit. You will coordinate, lead, and conduct ADR training with staff. In connection with exercises and operations, you will monitor compliance with hazardous goods regulations. You will be the contact person within the garrison and organizational unit for questions regarding hazardous goods.
Qualifications
- Training as a safety advisor and certified by the Civil Defense Authority with a passing result and hold a valid certificate for safety advisors.
- Driver's license B
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.

Meritorious
- Experience as a safety advisor and ADR instructor within the Swedish Armed Forces, another government agency, or the private sector.
- Experience in leading training
- Experience working in the Swedish Armed Forces
- Completed training for ADR instructors and certified by the Civil Defense Authority with a passing result and hold a valid certificate for ADR instructors.
Other Information
Employment type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not currently employed by the authority.
