Security Strategist for Nacka Municipality

As a security strategist in Nacka Municipality, you will help strengthen our ability to prevent, manage, and withstand crises – today and tomorrow.

Your Mission

We are currently living in a time characterized by many challenges and stresses where essential services need to function as expected. As a security strategist in Nacka Municipality, your mission is to contribute to achieving this capability.

With a focus on civil preparedness, which includes both crisis preparedness and civil defense, you will support the municipality's operations and management in their work and contribute to ensuring they have the right conditions, structures, and routines to strengthen preparedness.

Your role consists of many varied tasks, and more may arise as national work develops and expands. Specifically, this may involve working strategically with strategy documents and routines, analyses, and written materials, but also more practically by conducting continuity work, leading crisis exercises, and developing crisis plans. Other important issues for the security unit's operational work with civil preparedness include municipal safety points, shelters, supply of e.g., electricity, water, and food, as well as issues related to civil society.

In addition to a security manager, the security unit currently includes a security strategist and a security coordinator who will work with you on these issues. In addition, the unit has five other employees. Consultants are also brought in as needed for specific issues.

The position includes being an on-call officer (TiB) every fifth week.

The security unit in Nacka Municipality has a broad area of responsibility that, in addition to civil preparedness, includes information security, safety promotion, and crime prevention work, welfare crime, data protection issues, etc.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a role where you can switch between strategic and operational work. In the operational work, we see it as important that you are communicative, collaborative, and able to build trusting relationships. You have a clear operational focus and enjoy a supportive and coordinating role where you adapt your working methods to the needs of the operations. In the strategic (and operational) work, you need to be structured with the ability to plan both short and long term, always with some room for flexibility and the ability to handle changing conditions. You analyze the external environment and the municipality's issues to create the best possible strategies moving forward.

Furthermore, you are an experienced writer who can produce clear and well-founded written materials and feel confident in the role of meeting leader and facilitator in workshops, exercises, and collaborative meetings.

Your Experience

We are looking for someone with an academic education in the field or equivalent relevant work experience, as well as documented experience working with issues related to crisis preparedness and civil defense.

Meritorious

• Experience working with civil preparedness in a municipal context.
• Work with security protection and/or information and cybersecurity.
