A security guard plays a central role in maintaining safety and security in various environments. The job involves preventing and managing risks by monitoring premises, patrolling areas, and ensuring that security procedures are followed. Security guards often work closely with people and need to act calmly and professionally in both everyday situations and during incidents. The work can include everything from alarm responses and access controls to reporting deviations and collaborating with the police or other authorities. The role places high demands on responsibility, integrity, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.

Qualifications

We are looking for security-conscious, social, empathetic, and positive individuals with inner confidence and a natural drive to help others. Security guards work in many different environments with highly varying tasks - we are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and has a clear service-oriented commitment. We also prefer candidates who can communicate fluently in English.

We are looking for someone who can work at least eight weeks during the period from June to August. If you have the right profile, we offer security guard training and an opportunity to step into an exciting and growing industry.

If you have the right profile for Avarn and proceed in the process but do not already possess the required training (VU1, VU2), we will cover your training! Security guard training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted at BYA, the Security Industry's Occupational and Work Environment Committee. Participation in this training is a prerequisite for employment.

Qualifications

In addition to the personal qualities we seek and describe, you need to meet basic requirements to qualify for the position:

• At least 18 years old before starting the assignment
• High school diploma
• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
• Driver's license B

You must also be free from criminal records*, drug-free, have a stable economy, and maintain good health and physical fitness to be employed at Avarn Security.

Security guard training is an advantage for these positions. Other advantageous qualifications include experience in the security industry, some technical knowledge, additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, and previous experience working in public environments.
