About Avarn Security
Do you want to work in a monitoring center with a large number of camera installations and a variety of service/on-call assignments? Our goal is to constantly stay at the forefront, lead development, and contribute to a safe and stable operation for our customers. An effective monitoring center is characterized mainly by short response times, short alarm handling times, and a pleasant and professional attitude. Avarn Security is now looking for monitoring operators for full-time and part-time positions!
Job Responsibilities
As an operator, you will work in a monitoring center that is staffed around the clock, every day of the year. You are the first point of contact for customers, security personnel, alarm installers, police, and other authorities. The role includes receiving, assessing, and relaying alarm events as well as handling fault reports. You will come into contact with many different people daily via phone and work in several computer-based systems to manage alarms, calls, and video surveillance. The work is characterized by a fast pace, varying challenges, and a dynamic work environment. Your contribution will be crucial in creating safety for our customers and society at large. On behalf of the customer, you will receive various types of alarms, e.g., burglary, fire, elevator, and operational stop alarms. We protect the customer's assets, and as an operator, you will be the spider in the web nationally.
In addition, the following tasks are included:
- Monitoring and management of cameras
- Administration of instructions
- Monitoring of public areas and properties
- Relaying deviations and incidents to relevant parties
- Continuous contact and feedback to the customer
The position includes direct reporting to the operations manager.
This is a permanent position (we apply a 6-month probation period) for full-time with day/night shifts, starting 1/8-2026.
The shifts are scheduled for 12 hours with a 2-5 schedule during the day and a 5-4 schedule at night. Working hours are from 07-19 and 19-07.

Qualifications
The role of an operator involves significant responsibility and places high demands on your ability to act professionally in all situations. You need to be socially skilled, have good multitasking ability, and be technically knowledgeable and meticulous. The work requires you to make independent decisions when the situation demands it. Previous work experience as an operator or in security is advantageous.
You are expected to maintain a high level of service towards the customer's staff, suppliers, and other functions within Avarn, where a professional demeanor and good communication skills are crucial. Given that the work requires high social competence, good language skills in Swedish are of great importance.
You should be able to meet every individual with engagement, respect, and a solution-oriented approach. We are looking for someone with high personal integrity, natural authority, and the ability to act independently.
To qualify for the position, you need to meet the following basic requirements:
- Documented experience working as an alarm operator/security operator
- Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
- Computer skills - Office package
- Previous experience handling multiple cases simultaneously in various technical systems.
- Good English in speech and writing
In addition, you need to be unpunished*, drug-free, have an orderly economy, good health and fitness, and a high school education with passing grades in Swedish and English to be employed at Avarn Security.
Desirable qualifications include:
- Valid (not older than five years) security guard training (civil or military*)
- Driver's license
Your personal maturity is an important part of our overall assessment of your suitability for the position. If you lack valid security guard training, training may be offered after individual assessment based on previous experience and suitability.
The positions are classified in security class, which is why a security clearance will be conducted, and Swedish citizenship is a requirement for the position.

*All personnel at an authorized security company must be approved in terms of lawfulness, civic reliability, and suitability. **If you have completed security guard training during military basic training, it is also valid for civilian use. The training must have been completed in 2016 or later, and the training certificate must not be older than 5 years. If you have security guard training through the Armed Forces without military basic training, you will need to complete a shortened security guard training to work as a civilian security guard.
