About Järvabadet

Are you a person who gets energy from meeting many people? Do you appreciate a dynamic job where service and interaction are in focus? Do you like water and want to work outdoors during the summer? Then we believe that being a lifeguard is the perfect summer job for you.

Järvabadet, located by Eggeby farm, is a popular and well-visited outdoor swimming facility for everyone living in Järva. The facility offers generous grassy areas, two 25-meter pools, a teaching pool, and a splash pool.

With us, you are part of a team that works to provide high service and good interaction with our visitors. To offer our citizens good accessibility, we staff the facility between 06:00 and 21:30, 7 days a week. We work in shifts, evenings, and weekends.

Our team at Järvabadet mainly consists of staff from Husbybadet and Tensta swimming and sports hall. And now we need reinforcement during the summer period.

Your role

You are the face of our entire operation and deliver the highest service to our visitors at the facility. As a lifeguard, your primary tasks include reception work, cleaning, and pool supervision. If you are interested in teaching swimming lessons, we also have the opportunity to train you in that. Together, we in the team have a shared responsibility to ensure that the service at our facility maintains a high standard. We ensure that the entire facility is clean and fresh and that all our visitors feel safe while they are with us.

Your workplace will mainly be Järvabadet, but you may also work at several facilities within the administration.

Your skills and experience

You have good knowledge of Swedish and can communicate fluently with our visitors. It is an advantage if you can speak other languages besides Swedish and English. Of course, you appreciate, just like us, the dynamics of a multicultural environment.

As a person, you are responsible, service-oriented, and enjoy being in an outdoor environment where conditions can change quickly.

Swimming ability is a requirement, and during the recruitment process, you will undergo a practical test that involves falling into deep water and then swimming 200 meters, of which 50 meters on your back. For employment at Järvabadet, you must also be able to perform a deep dive of 2 meters.
