The Preschool Administration of Gothenburg City is responsible for the education and care of approximately 25,000 children in nearly 360 municipal preschools. The administration has about 7,000 employees who together work with children's learning and development at the center. The Preschool Administration is looking for someone who wants to help develop a safe and educational preschool for all children.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Åkereds Skolväg 20 is now looking for a positive, innovative, and creative preschool teacher who wants to provide care and education to all children from one year and up, together with like-minded colleagues!

We appreciate if you have an interest in being involved in strategic personnel planning in order to strive for an equitable preschool for all children where innovative scheduling and competence distribution are central tools.

The operations are characterized by children's desire to learn together with co-discovering and attentive educators. There is a very good collaboration with guardians, which we can see in both verbal feedback and in our user surveys.

Common to all preschools is that they have large yards close to both forest and sea. We continuously work to develop accessible learning environments based on children's interests and needs both indoors and outdoors.

Within our units, we collaborate and network with each other, which we see as a good quality factor. In the forum, we have literature studies, guidance in accessible learning environments, and other relevant topics depending on the processes we are in. We also have a common reflection time that is solely for preschool teachers where the main focus is on systematic quality work.

An important foundation for our collegial learning is our common goals, which in turn are a result of evaluation and analysis of our systematic quality work. To support educators in their teaching to provide children with adequate digital competence, we currently have a project where we have received funding from the digitalization fund to start a digital studio.

We strive to create a preschool where every child feels safe and is given the conditions to develop according to their abilities. Children's curiosity and interest linked to the curriculum goals lead our work forward.

With us, you will receive free pedagogical meals, work clothes, and an iPad. If you are a newly graduated preschool teacher, you will also receive a mentor upon your employment. The mentor is part of a central group and is tasked with helping you get a good start in your professional life with us.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are now looking for you who are an educated and licensed preschool teacher and who wants to be part of the journey to create an equitable and innovative preschool for all children. If you are a newly graduated preschool teacher, you will receive a mentor upon your employment. The mentor is part of a central group and is tasked with helping you get a good start in your professional life with us.

  • See the outdoor environment as a natural part of the educational activities
  • Have good knowledge of pedagogical documentation and view the use of digital learning tools as a method of documentation
  • Have a positive attitude and be solution-focused.

As an employee in our administration, you will be offered, among other things, wellness grants, bicycle benefits, and employee support.
