With the aim - We develop world-class competence for a sustainable future and a good life, the Nature Management Administration drives education within youth high school, adapted high school, adult education, and vocational college. The Nature Schools Svenljunga, Sötåsen, Uddetorp, and the Biological Vocational College serve as competence centers for the growth and development of the green industries. Together with industry and researchers, the administration drives energy projects and experimental activities at the forefront of the schools. The Nature Management Administration is part of the Västra Götaland Region.

Description

Within the Nature Management Administration, young people are educated in animals, gardening, agriculture/forestry, and forest-land-animal for the adapted high school. Currently, about 160 young people are enrolled in the nature management program and 45 young people in the adapted high school, with approximately 80 staff members in total at the facility. Our ecological facility is currently undergoing ISO14001 certification.

We are now looking for someone who wants to be our substitute teacher and teach Swedish and history in the nature management program at Sötåsen outside Töreboda for 1.5 years. There are train and bus connections to Töreboda, making it easy to travel sustainably to the workplace. You should have a strong interest in teaching young people in the nature management program and want to ensure that all students have the opportunity to develop according to their abilities and towards higher goals. If you have a connection to the green sector, that is an additional positive factor that will be useful in teaching. The school has two full-time mentors who conduct development talks and are the closest contact between home and school. Learning environments and clarifying pedagogy are a standard for us - everyone has the right to their learning.

Qualifications

You preferably have a teaching license in Swedish and history or another subject combination for high school or similar knowledge. As a teacher with us, we want you to be characterized by openness, a lack of prestige, and a strong willingness to develop and collaborate. You have access to and are expected to implement and use modern digital technology in teaching.

You are a skilled educator with experience in teaching and have the ability to meet students individually and in groups based on a stimulating learning environment. We work with clarifying pedagogy in all our subjects.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Conditions

Temporary position for 1.5 years with 100% employment rate. Start during the later part of the spring term 2025 or by agreement. Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period. To be employed in the school, a criminal record extract is required, which you can apply for via the police's website.
