RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a preschool teacher for Stora Björn's Preschool who is task-oriented, flexible, positive, and engaged. You who apply are amazed by children's development and learning and see differences as enriching.

We have created a schedule structure where you as a preschool teacher are generally in the children's group when most children are present. This creates a structure that gives you better conditions to lead your team and plan for good teaching. You will also have the opportunity to meet colleagues in various development forums where you discuss teaching and education. In our area, you will have a manager who has close leadership, prioritizes a sustainable work environment, and where all employees are important.

As a preschool teacher with us, you will be responsible for the children's education together with your team. You are expected to work purposefully, plan, implement, analyze, and evaluate the teaching according to our governing documents. As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for documentation and evaluation of children's learning processes, this work takes place through our learning platform Unikum.

An important part is to inspire children to discover for themselves and to make both children and parents feel involved in the activities. Through a conscious approach, we want to offer activities that are inspiring, exciting, and developing for both children, parents, and educators.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher. You are passionate about providing all children with the best education to develop and learn based on their conditions, interests, and experiences, both indoors and outdoors. A requirement is that you have good Swedish in both spoken and written form.

You have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you contribute to a respectful work climate.

You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole. You see solutions and are involved in solving and handling challenges we face. You see opportunities for change and create situations where new ideas and proposals can be developed. You motivate and describe pedagogical changes and handle criticism of change in a constructive manner. You drive long-term and sustainable change work, both at the local and overarching level.

You see systematic quality work as a prerequisite for ensuring good quality in teaching. You who apply have an understanding that pedagogical work requires close interaction, humility, and companionship with the children so you can support and challenge, follow and document individuals' and the group's learning processes.

The pedagogical learning environments are always a development area in preschool, and you understand the significance of learning environments and materials for children's education. You have an understanding of how an environment can support children's learning and ability for independence and participation.

With us, you will have the opportunity to take a lot of responsibility and grow as an educator. We have a special educator linked to the area who is tasked with guiding the teams as needed. It is advantageous to have knowledge of, tools for, and experience working with children who have Swedish as a second language.

Experience working with children with disabilities is also advantageous as we develop our methods in both planned and spontaneous teaching to support and challenge all children's abilities in their learning process. We strive to create learning environments in relation to focus goals and children's interests and needs. Our guiding principles in creating learning environments should be based on inviting, stimulating, accessibility, and flexibility.

If you are a newly graduated preschool teacher, you will receive a mentor upon your employment. The mentor is part of a central group and is tasked with helping you get a good start in your professional life with us.
