The Gothenburg Primary School Administration is one of the largest school administrations in Sweden. We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool to grade nine, adapted primary school, culture school, and after-school care. The administration has 138 municipal primary schools where nearly 47,000 students attend school every day. The entire administration has about 9,700 employees who work together to develop and take care of the operations - together we pave the way for the school of the future.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Karl Johansskolan is located in the heart of Majorna, just a stone's throw from the Kaptensgatan bus stop. In the nearly 100-year-old school building, designed by Gunnar Asplund, there are currently 650 students from preschool to grade 6. There are after-school care options for students in preschool and grades 1-4. The school has a high satisfaction factor, with many staff members having worked there for a long time and actively leading the school's operations forward together with younger educators.

We are looking for a teaching assistant who will support the teacher in instruction. In your role, you will work closely with your colleagues, aiming to collaborate for the benefit of the students, in everything from quality teaching to safety and well-being. As a teaching assistant, your role is needs-driven and must be flexible to some extent. Your job description includes working with the teacher to implement the instruction that the teacher has planned. During the school day, you will work in classes in grades 4-6.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has completed secondary education and has experience working with students in need of special support. Experience working with students with NPF (neuropsychiatric disorders) is an advantage.

You have a good understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and their different conditions.
