SiS youth home Nereby operates in Harestad and in Bergsjön. We conduct differentiated and high-quality educational, care, and treatment work. The operations include a variety of professions, such as teachers, treatment pedagogues, psychologists, nurses, and more. SiS youth home Nereby accepts both compulsory school-age and non-compulsory school-age boys with psychosocial issues as well as criminal behavior and substance abuse.

Job Description

SiS youth home Nereby is looking for a teacher qualified to teach physical education and social studies, possibly in combination with another subject, at our school in Bergsjön, Gothenburg.

With us, there are great opportunities to shape the teaching based on your own thoughts and ideas, as the teaching is individualized and based on each student's needs. Many of our students require support both socially and academically. You who are applying need to have experience with students in need of support.

You will teach your subjects and also provide support for other teachers. We work at the middle school and primary school levels in small groups of a maximum of 8 students.

We largely teach in a duo teaching system where two educators work together. As a teacher with us, you have a great opportunity to inspire students' desire to learn and help them succeed in the school environment and build their school identity. Together with your colleagues, you will focus on the students' needs, work on relationship-building, and create a safe environment.

Qualifications

• It is a requirement that you have a teaching license in physical education and another subject for grades 7–9.
• It is a requirement that you have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in terms of speaking and writing.
• It is a requirement that you have good computer skills and experience in documentation.
• It is a requirement that you have a good ability to motivate/encourage and set clear boundaries.
• You are engaged and flexible and have the ability to create good relationships.
• It is desirable that you have a B driver's license.

It is meritorious if you:

• Have experience with the target group
• Find it easy to collaborate with other professional groups, such as treatment assistants and psychologists.

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement. Before employment, a decision will be made regarding a criminal record check.
