Mathematics and Special Education Teacher at the Nature Management Administration

With the goal - We develop world-class competence for a sustainable future and the good life, the Nature Management Administration drives education within youth high school, adapted high school, adult education, and vocational college. The Nature Schools Svenljunga, Sötåsen, Uddetorp, and the Biological Vocational College serve as competence centers for the growth and development of the green industries. Together with industry and researchers, the administration drives energy projects and experimental activities at the forefront in the schools. The Nature Management Administration is part of the Västra Götaland Region.

Within the Nature Management Administration, young people are educated in animals, gardening, agriculture/forestry, and forest-land-animal for the adapted high school. Currently, there are about 160 young people in the nature management program and 45 young people in the adapted high school, with around 80 staff in total at the facility. Our ecological facility is in the midst of an ongoing ISO14001 certification.

We are now looking for someone who wants to teach mathematics in the nature management program with us at Sötåsen outside Töreboda. There are train and bus connections to Töreboda, making it easy to travel sustainably to the workplace. You should have a strong interest in teaching young people in the nature management program and want to ensure that all students are given the opportunity to develop based on their abilities and towards higher goals. If you have a connection to the green sector, it is an additional positive factor that will be useful in teaching. The school has two full-time mentors who conduct development talks and are the closest contact between home and school. Learning environments and clarifying pedagogy are a standard for us - everyone has the right to their learning.

Qualifications

You preferably have a teaching license in mathematics, have training as a special education teacher in mathematics for high school or similar knowledge. As a teacher with us, we want you to be characterized by openness, a lack of prestige, and a strong desire for development and collaboration. You have access to and are expected to implement and use modern digital technology in teaching.

You are a skilled educator and have experience in the teaching profession, and together with your special education skills, you have the ability to meet students individually and in groups based on a stimulating learning environment. We work with clarifying pedagogy in all our subjects.

Conditions

Permanent employment with a 100% employment rate. Start during the spring term of 2025 or by agreement. Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period.
