Fristadskolan currently has open teaching positions. We are looking for you who are qualified to teach in one or more of the following subjects: Biology, English, Physics, Sports and Health, Chemistry, Spanish, Swedish, Technology, Textile Crafts and/or Wood and Metal Crafts.

Fristadskolan is a secondary school for grades 7 to 9, located in central Fristad, 13 kilometers north of Borås. The school has nearly 400 students. Our students come from both the central area of Fristad and from smaller towns around Fristad. The staff is organized into four teams that collaborate in the effort to give every student the best opportunity to succeed. The school is constantly developing and is characterized by a pleasant climate where teachers collaborate and where there is an exchange of experiences within and between subjects. Safety and well-being are a given for both students and staff.

Job Responsibilities

Your job responsibilities will consist of teaching in your subject or subjects. At Fristadskolan, all teachers work in teams that together are responsible for four classes. The school is divided based on the teams so that students have a safe environment as the school becomes like four small schools within a large school. We would like you to be interested in collaborating and working to help students develop as much as possible.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications to teach in one or more of the following subjects for grades 7-9: Biology, English, Physics, Sports and Health, Chemistry, Spanish, Swedish, Technology, Textile Crafts and/or Wood and Metal Crafts.

You have high and positive expectations for all students. Your approach is motivating, and you work with significant student influence to provide students with various opportunities to develop. To succeed in the role, we also see that you have good collaboration skills and that you create safety, order, and structure in the classroom.
