Gula skolan is located in central Fristad, close to forests, lakes, culture, libraries, and music schools. The school is an old genuine building with fine functional premises and a large schoolyard that invites play. About 260 students attend Gula skolan, from preschool to grade 6. The school has about 35 teachers, teaching assistants, and leisure teachers. In addition to these, we have a driven and supportive student health team with all competencies. At Gula skolan, the primary school collaborates with preschool and leisure activities. All staff collaborate throughout the day for the best of each student and the opportunity to succeed as the primary goal.

Job Responsibilities

As a leisure teacher, you will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in the leisure center together with your colleagues. The position involves working in one of our three leisure departments as well as working with individual students or small groups during school hours. You will also plan and carry out break activities.

The activities in the leisure center should stimulate students' development and learning and offer a meaningful leisure time. It is important that you can adapt your work based on a holistic view of the students and their needs, promoting diverse contacts and social community. Together with your colleagues, you want to help develop the teaching in the leisure center.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher with the authority to teach in leisure activities or are an educated leisure pedagogue. You put the student in focus, feel a strong commitment to the student group, and are results-oriented. You have the ability to see all students' different needs, take into account their individual circumstances, and help all students grow. You have the ability to be clear and create a good working environment for the students and your colleagues. You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and are secure in your teaching role. We also see that you demonstrate good leadership qualities, are secure, clear, and easily create good relationships and collaborate with students, colleagues, and guardians.

If you have experience with NPF and knowledge of low-affective approaches, it is meritorious.
