Björkhöjdskolan 7-9 opened in the autumn of 2021 and is a F-9 school with a hearing profile. The school has two principals and is divided into two units, F-6 and 7-9.

Knowledge, collaboration, and connections to the outside world are important for the future. We want our students to reach as far as they can and be challenged at their level. Our classrooms are newly renovated, and the rooms for science, home economics, crafts, music, and art are equipped with new equipment. The gymnasium is large, and the school meals are prepared on-site. Björkhöjdskolan 7-9 is centrally located with nature around the corner.

Job Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include teaching physical education and health for grades 7-9. In your work, you will plan, implement, and evaluate the teaching. The teaching takes place in the school's new and large gymnasium, and you will also conduct swimming lessons at one of the city's swimming pools.

You have high and positive expectations for all students. Your approach is motivating, and you work with significant student influence to provide students with various opportunities to develop. You enjoy meeting young people from different backgrounds and circumstances. You demonstrate this by planning, implementing, and evaluating your teaching based on the students' needs.

You work very well with others, you are attentive and flexible in your approach, and you resolve any disagreements and conflicts calmly and constructively, based on a low-arousal response. As a person, you also have good self-awareness and are willing to develop in the field, along with your colleagues in the unit.

Qualifications

You who apply are a certified teacher with the authority to teach physical education and health in grades 7-9. You have knowledge and experience in conducting swimming lessons as well as experience in teaching physical education and health for students in grades 7-9. Furthermore, you have experience in equal treatment work.

You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively and find it easy to create and maintain good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. Your leadership skills are strong, and you have a good ability to individually and collaboratively support students in their comprehensive knowledge development and learning in your subject. As a person, you plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively and set and adhere to deadlines. You help students believe in themselves through continuous feedback and are attentive to your students' opinions and needs.
