Are you interested in creating digital learning materials for mathematics? Join us at Akelius Math AB. Our goal is to empower students in the global south and refugee camps through freely accessible, innovative learning materials.

We are looking for several employees, some of whom need to have a special interest in primary school mathematics, particularly in lower and middle school mathematics.

• implement the content in our digital platform
• collaborate with users, teachers, and researchers to develop and test materials
• collaborate with stakeholders in Sweden and internationally
• provide professional development for teachers

who you are

Your qualifications likely include

• a strong drive to improve math education
• understanding of teaching mathematics or creating digital learning materials
• a team-oriented mindset, dedicated to achieving common goals
• good skills in English, both spoken and written
• experience in learning in an international environment is an advantage
• ability to work primarily from our office in Gothenburg

what we offer

You will be part of a vibrant environment at the Akelius Math Learning Lab at the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Chalmers in Gothenburg. The lab started in March 2024 and is jointly run by Akelius Math AB, Chalmers University of Technology, and the University of Gothenburg.

Currently, we have eight math editors developing the digital learning materials and four researchers in mathematics education. We provide

Akelius Math AB hires math editors who will be part of the Akelius Math Learning Lab at Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg.

The Akelius Foundation funds the lab.

Since 2017, the Akelius Foundation has offered language courses for the global south and refugee camps through its partners UNICEF and UNHCR.

The purpose of the Akelius Math Learning Lab is to develop mathematical materials to be used in a similar way.
