Plain Language, Development, and Collaboration

The Communications Department consists of over 60 employees who lead, develop, and support the agency's internal and external communication. We manage and develop the intranet and external websites, are responsible for the agency's graphic profile, terminology, and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's plain language work. We are a team of five language specialists, and we are now looking for another colleague.

As a language specialist, you collaborate with colleagues in the Communications Department, as well as with business developers and lawyers in the insurance departments. You plan the work together and often have a fixed timeframe, for example during legislative changes or major development projects. You provide writing and language advice, process and adapt texts for recipients, answer language questions, and train in plain language. You also work on development and continuous improvements with a focus on customer benefit.

The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you who will work with us have a high level of security awareness.

We are looking for you who

• have a university degree as a language consultant or experience and qualifications that can be assessed as equivalent
• have experience in plain language work
• act on your own initiative and take responsibility for achieving good results
• have the ability to create a useful network
• can understand and analyze complex issues
• come up with innovative ideas and solutions that promote development
• collaborate effectively with others to achieve common goals
• have good communicative skills, both oral and written.

It is meritorious if you have experience in

• working with legal texts
• working with or as an employee at a government agency
• leading workshops and creative processes
• working in a large public organization.

Other

One position, permanent, full-time, with start date as agreed. Probation period may apply. Some positions with us involve participation in security-sensitive activities. To be employed in such a position, a successful security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) is required. In accordance with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's security guidelines, background checks are conducted in this recruitment. Remote work is possible if the job allows. In this recruitment, psychometric tests may be used as part of the selection process. Location: Stockholm.
