At present, Jurek is looking for an experienced Controller for a consultancy assignment with a public sector organization in the Stockholm area. The position is full-time and involves providing operational financial support to elderly care services during a recruitment period. About the role and key responsibilities

We are currently seeking a consultant who, during a recruitment period, can provide qualified financial support to a department within elderly care services.

In this role, you will work closely with the department's managers, responsible for budgeting and follow-up work, as well as contributing with financial analyses and decision-support materials. You will serve as a key support function in the department's financial management and participate in development and efficiency projects.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing monthly forecasts and financial reports together with department managers
• Budgeting for the 2026 fiscal year
• Participating in efficiency and development projects within elderly care
• Performing bookkeeping-related tasks
• Generating statistics, analyses, and decision-support materials
• Providing ongoing financial support to the operations
• Handover and introduction to a new employee at the end of the assignment

The work is primarily conducted using Hypergene, Agresso, and Excel.

Your background, experience, and skills

We are looking for someone who has:

• An academic degree with a focus on economics
• At least four (4) years of relevant experience as a controller
• Excellent proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written

Additional qualifications that are meritorious include:

• An academic degree with a focus on financial management
• Experience in similar roles within the municipal sector
• Experience working within the City of Stockholm

Personal attributes:

We are looking for a professional, independent, and proactive individual. You have strong collaboration skills and a pedagogical approach. To succeed in this role, you must have good judgment, the ability to take a holistic perspective, as well as strong numerical and analytical skills.

Good to know

You will be employed as a consultant by Jurek and work on assignment for our client in the Stockholm area. The assignment is full-time and runs from late August to mid-December. Remote work up to 50% is offered, subject to the nature of the work.
