Who are we?
Oxelbergsskolan is a single-stream school (Grades F–6) with approximately 190 students, where we work every day to create a safe, curious, and joyful learning environment. Quality, development, joy, and respectful treatment are at the center of our work.
About 24 dedicated employees work at the school; we enjoy collaborating, sharing ideas, and trying new working methods. Here, you have the chance to combine classroom teaching with genuinely influencing the school's development. We like it when employees take initiative, think new thoughts, and dare to test ideas – and we welcome your involvement in driving both small and large improvements. Your competence as a Lead Teacher is highly valued, and you will have the opportunity to use it.
We offer a workplace where collaboration, openness, and helpfulness are part of everyday life. There are good opportunities for professional development and building on your profession, for example through collegial learning, development projects, and support from school leadership. As part of a larger public organization, we work long-term with quality, safety, and equitable schooling – here, you make a real difference for children's futures every day.
Your responsibilities
In the role of Lead Teacher in Grades 4–6 in Swedish, you are both a class teacher and a pedagogical driver in the development of teaching. You work closely with colleagues, student health services, and school leadership to create structure, study peace, and good results.
As a Lead Teacher, you are expected to drive development areas at the school, for example related to language and knowledge-developing working methods, Legilexi, reading in all subjects, formative assessment, or similar. You lead and inspire colleagues through supervision, joint planning, and collegial learning, and you actively contribute to us becoming a little better at what we do all the time.
You are driving the school's work for more equitable teaching based on students' needs and support teachers in anchoring teaching in current research and proven experience. You lead and contribute to collegial learning through meetings, workshops, and joint lesson design, and drive development work in collaboration with the principal based on the development plan regarding language and reading development.
You supervise colleagues in acquiring alternative teaching methods, using digital tools and IT naturally in teaching and documentation, and collaborate closely with student health services and colleagues to adapt teaching to students' different needs.
As a Lead Teacher, you also participate in the municipality's Lead Teacher network four times per academic year, where the content constitutes part of the development plan's focus area on teaching development.
This year's focus is pedagogical leadership with an emphasis on analyzing one's own teaching and creating conditions for every student's learning. The network aims to strengthen equity within the municipality and schools and to enable experience sharing with colleagues from other schools.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach Swedish and another subject in grades 4–6. You have worked as a teacher for at least 4 years and feel confident in both your leadership in the classroom and in your teaching.
