Region Östergötland operates three schools, which are grouped under the Regional Development Board. Vreta Education Centre is located just outside Linköping, Himmelstalund Education Centre is situated in Norrköping, and Lunnevad Folk High School is located between Vikingstad and Mantorp.

At Vreta Education Centre, we offer the Nature Management Programme with specializations in agriculture, horse keeping, and forestry, as well as the Vehicle and Transport Programme with specializations in transport, professional driving, and a nationally recruiting specialization for recovery drivers. National Sports Education (NIU) is offered in equestrian sports (dressage or show jumping). Vocational adult education and vocational higher education programs are available in agriculture, horse keeping, and forestry. The adapted upper secondary school offers the national program Forest, Land, and Animals.

Job Description

We are looking for an instructor who will primarily teach forestry subjects within the Nature Management Programme with a focus on machinery, such as forestry machinery levels 1, 2, and 3, as well as motor-manual tasks like brush cutters and chainsaws. You should be familiar with modern working methods in forestry.

You should be good at collaborating, actively work for the school's value base, and through cooperation with the school's other staff, contribute to a cross-disciplinary working approach.

Work Group

You will organizationally belong to the Forest Unit, where we are a work group with strong cohesion, working together with two of the most important resources available – the Forest and young people.

About You

You should have practical experience working with modern technology within the forestry industry and a strong desire to work with young people. You must hold at least a Category B driving license. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability to perform the duties described above. This means that you enjoy meeting young people at different levels and can lead, engage, and motivate them to want to develop within your subject area. You are also structured and find it easy to work together with others as we work in teams. Competence as a harvester operator is meritorious.
